Lecture Summary:

Nursing the small animal patient with an endocrine disorder can be a challenging and intensive role and nurses play a fundamentally important part in both the emergency care and long term maintenance of such cases.

This day meeting will give you the confidence and knowledge to deal with these complex patients both in the hospital situation and with their owners to increase the compliance and understanding of their pet’s needs.

Using case based examples and an interactive format the major endocrine disorders in dogs and cats will be discussed with the focus on the key role of the VN in successful management of these cases.
