Emergency patients need to be rapidly assessed and measures taken to stabilise them as quickly as possible.
This course will look at some of the medical emergencies that commonly present at all veterinary practices, and the veterinary nurse’s essential role in stabilisation, monitoring, and ongoing care of these challenging cases.
From presentation to discharge, intensive nursing is essential to maximise patient welfare and improve prognosis. Emphasis will be given to how these requirements can be met in a general practice situation.
