Lecture Summary:

The very nature of a surgical emergency means that you must make appropriate decisions, and take effective actions, without delay.

On this course you’ll learn how to effectively manage common surgical emergencies in your practice, and learn what’s new in the management of these conditions.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to deal with pleural effusions and pneumothorax.
  • Surgery for diaphragmatic hernia.
  • What to do with your GDVs – the perfect gastropexy.
  • Urinary tract obstruction: managing urethral obstruction and what is new in the management of ureteral stones.
  • Brachycephalic airway syndrome, when to cut and what is new.
  • Confidence and practical advice you can put to good use with your next emergency!
